Key Areas Completed

The warm wood-tone finish and rounded cabinet details help soften the space, while the hidden lighting adds a comfortable ambience for daily living.

Dining Area

The dining area was planned together with the open living space to create a balanced layout. The design maintains a spacious walkway and allows the dining area to enjoy natural light from the large window.

Kitchen Area

The kitchen was completed with custom cabinets, built-in appliances, practical worktop space, plumbing coordination and sintered stone countertop. The cabinet design maximizes storage while keeping the kitchen visually clean and modern.

Wet Kitchen / Utility Area

Storage & Tall Cabinets

Full-height cabinetry and tall storage units were included to improve organization and maximize vertical space. These cabinets help keep household items hidden while maintaining a clean interior appearance.

Challenges & Solutions

1. Starting from an Empty House

Challenge:
The project started from an empty unit, meaning all design planning, renovation works, M&E coordination, finishing selection and carpentry details had to be properly arranged from the beginning.

Solution:
Kitchen Story planned the renovation scope in stages, coordinating electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, wet works, painting, flooring and carpentry works to ensure the home could be completed in a proper sequence.

2. Coordinating Multiple Renovation Trades

Challenge:
A whole house renovation involves many different trades. Electrical, plumbing, wet works, flooring, painting, air-conditioner and carpentry works must be coordinated carefully to avoid delays, mistakes or rework.

Solution:
The project was managed with proper site coordination and work sequencing. Each trade was arranged according to renovation progress, allowing the carpentry and finishing works to fit correctly with the completed site condition.

3. Maximizing Storage Without Making the Home Feel Heavy

Challenge:
Condominium units require good storage planning, but too many cabinets can make the home feel narrow or visually heavy.

Solution:
Kitchen Story used full-height storage, clean cabinet fronts, soft neutral colours and light wood-tone finishes to maximize storage while keeping the home bright and spacious.

4. Creating a Premium Look with Practical Materials

Challenge:
The client needed a home that looks elegant but is also practical for daily use. The kitchen and cabinets must be durable and easy to maintain.

Solution:
BLUM hardware was used for all cabinets to improve cabinet performance and user experience. Sintered stone was selected for the countertop to provide a durable, modern and practical kitchen surface.

5. Managing Sunlight and Heat from Large Windows

Challenge:
The unit has large window areas with strong natural light and outdoor views. While this improves the home’s openness, it may also increase heat and glare.

Solution:
3M window tint was installed to improve comfort, reduce heat and support better privacy while maintaining the bright and open feeling of the home.

6. Maintaining a Consistent Design Language

Challenge:
The living room, kitchen, dining area and storage areas needed to look connected instead of being designed separately.

Solution:
A consistent material palette was used throughout the home, including warm wood tones, soft neutral cabinet colours, clean lines and matching finishing details. This creates a smooth visual flow across the entire interior.
